About the company

Ground up, and long after.

Shumukh Al Riyadah is a Saudi general contracting company serving the government and private sectors. Our work runs from excavation and infrastructure through to buildings, and then to the systems that keep a facility running after it opens.

Our record

What the project list actually says.

A large part of our completed work sits below ground level. Excavation and backfilling, fibre optic routing, water network installation, road scraping and asphalting, and the haulage of excavation spoil. It is the least visible part of a project and the part where mistakes cost the most to undo.

Above that line we have built cold storage, warehousing and an event yard, residential villas, a main perimeter wall, and shade structures for playgrounds and car parks. We have also worked inside buildings already in use, including renovation of the administrative floor at the Makarem Ajyad hotel in Makkah and rehabilitation work on the Elm information security building.

The third part of our work begins after handover. Electromechanical systems, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, CCTV, glass facades and building maintenance units. A client who builds with us does not need to appoint a separate contractor to keep the facility running.

Four of our thirteen completed projects are at Prince Naif Security City in Salbukh. Others are at King Saud University and for Elm. Being asked back to the same site, and being cleared to work on secure and institutional ones, is the part of the record we are most careful with.

Operations and management

How a project is run.

Coordination with government bodies, a schedule that holds, and reporting the client can actually read. These are the parts of contracting that decide whether a project lands on time.

Health, safety and environment

Everyone leaves the site the way they arrived.

After handover

Three ways we maintain what we build.
